This is the most popular painting I had done to date.  The dogs were chosen because they were either well trained or very old. They needed to cooperate in wearing an  aloha shirt and sit still long enough to get some good photos.  The dogs belonged to friends and neighbors, including Bear the golden retreiver, Sadie the german shepard, Herman the Lab, Buddie the little black and white guy,Bumper the bulldog and Herman's little sister who is gazing lovingly at him.
